I have played with TGB before (a gold and copper play) and like the current pullback the past week. There is a lot of support at $5.20 and it quickly closed above the EMA21 line. I bought at $5.91 today. It wants to trade up to $6.27 then up to $6.40 then to $7.08.

On 10/25 In entered into NYSE Euronext, Inc (NYX) at $90.00 after seeing the huge up volume and wide price spread on 10/24. My first target is $101.00 on 4/3 which has a high volume high. All the technicals are strong and EMAs and turned up nicely. Next week will be the end of the month and trading should be bullish as it’s window dressing time for the fund managers.

Wednesday 10/23 is also the Fed announcement for interest rates and Halloween….spooky day!!! Ben will either drop another 25 points on short term rates or more. The Feds want to save the banks who need short term rates to go down. Sub prime loans are a mess and housing is bad. This will ease short term credit issues and give a positive boost to the general public……but it sends the US dollar down the toilet again. USA is on sale right now and ripe for foreign money to do some shopping here. Gold and oil will continue to go up and conglomerate companies (like GE, MCD, KO) will do well as overseas revenue when converted back into US dollars will give a nice boost as seen by the MSFT results a few days ago.

Entered into wild Akamai Technologies (AKAM) the stream infrastructure company. AKAM was recently beaten down hard on 7/26 because of weaker earnings but now it has recovered and showed a sign of strength on 10/2 and on 10/25. I got in at $37.70 and my first target is $42 and second target of $46. I really want to see this close into the lower green up trend line.

On 10/23 I entered into EJ at $26.55. This was a stock on had earlier found mentioned on Investors.com a few days earlier and decided to look at the technicals. I saw the price was trending down towards the lower major trend line and volume was decreasing. It also filled the gap on 10/2 and all signals were good. The next day I got a nice gift when the stock took off for a +16% gain. Volume has picked up really nice and I’m up +28% currently. All technicals look strong, but lets see how it gets past $36.

Sorry for not updating this week. I have been extremely busy with work, but here is the update.

Stopped out of POT @ $102.86 on 10/22 for loss of -6%. But look by the end of the week it recovered on huge up volume - 4x usual to close at$ 117.90. I still like this stock a lot and will wait for a pull back.

Stopped out of RGLD at $30.27 on 10/22 for loss of -6% on gap down. It went almost of the EMA200 line and bounced up the same day. Now it gapped up twice on average volume. I think it’s ready to climb up again to $35 then up to $37. I may reenter again on Monday.

Stopped out of VSEA at $48.09 on 10/25 for loss of -3% on huge gape down then recovery as it bounced above the EMA200. It VSEA climbs back to to above $45 I may get in again.

Stopped out of ICE at $159.08 for profit of +2.7% on 10/22. I really like ICE and will get back in again.

Stopped out of FCX @ $110.0406 for a profit of +2.8%

Stopped out of BCSI @ $50.2101 for a profit of +7.9%

Stopped out of VLO @ $68.82 for a loss of -3.9%

Still in POT but I did not like how it broke down on Friday. The volume on down days is much higher then up days - this is not a sign of strength. I’m going to get out on Monday.

Still in RGLD and volume was lighter then previous days. It may test the $32 price point.

Still in VSEA and volume was lighter but do not like the wide price spread.

Still in ICE and it showed great strength on a big down day for the market. Volume was higher the last 3 days and wants to test the $175 price.

I got stopped out of NG at $17.91 for a -4% loss even though the volume today was low. This may now want to test $16.93.

I got stopped out of CPST at $1.06 for a -3.6% loss but on higher volume which means it wants to go lower. It way want to test the low of $0.95 on 8/23.

I was almost going to buy LFC [[LFC]] yesterday but decided to buy CPST instead what a bad move. China Life was up +12.82% today. Well there is always another trade. I am going to wait for a pullback to the EMA9 and revisit the buy.

VSEA [[VSEA]] looks interesting today with a sign of strength. It closed over the EMA9, EMA21 and EMA50 all today and volume was up. I will place an entry to buy in the morning at $50.10. Intel had good earnings yesterday which will help the semiconductor industry.

Great earnings announcement from IBM rising 6%, Intel, and Yahoo! after hours. This is bullish for the market which has seen problems in the financial market with sub-prime loans. The tech sector looks like it will be a great Q4 which is often the best time to buy tech. I am looking as strength in CSCO which raised guidance in the last earnings release. I am long this market.

Look as the huge price spread of Yahoo going from $26 to $29 rising more than 10% in after market hours. This will run to 31 to 33.

I am going to take a small position in CPST in the morning wanting to buy at $1.10. There is good support 1.10 and it keeps testing this but not breaking, also volume as dried up. The price has come down for 9 straight days which means it should turn around any time. This is a spec play so don’t buy unless you can take the heat. CPST wants to go back up to $1.20 range.

The market has been trending down the last few days but on lighter volume. This is a good time to buy on this pullback.

Entered into Nova Gold (NG) this morning with @ $18.40 with a stop under the EMA9 at $17.99.

Entered into InterContinental Exchange (ICE) @ 154.10 it touched the EMA9 and bounced off which is a good sign and the volume looked dry this morning. I am still looking for this to head up to the $170 level.
